01 What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. We also use related technologies, such as tags, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and local storage, and we refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy for simplicity.

This Cookie Policy is part of, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.

02 Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the Site working: page navigation, security, load balancing, and remembering choices like light or dark mode. The Site can't function properly without them, so they don't require consent.

Analytics & performance

These help us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it: which pages are popular, where people come from, and where things break. We use Google Analytics 4 for this, deployed through Google Tag Manager.

Advertising & targeting

These help us measure and deliver our own marketing, for example understanding which ads led to a Growth Audit request and reaching relevant audiences. They're set by advertising platforms via tags and web pixels.

Functional

These power interactive features such as our web chat and embedded forms, remembering context within a conversation or session.

03 Cookie & tag inventory

The table below lists the main categories of cookies and tags on our Site. Exact names and durations can change as platforms update their technologies; this reflects our typical setup.

04 Third-party technologies

Several cookies above are set by third parties: Google, Meta, Microsoft, and our chat platform. We don't control these companies' cookies, and their use of any data they collect is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We recommend reviewing them:

  • Google: privacy and ad-settings controls in your Google account;
  • Meta: ad preferences and cookie settings in your Meta account;
  • Microsoft: privacy dashboard and ad settings in your Microsoft account.

05 Managing cookies

You're in control. You can:

  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Check the Help section of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
  • Adjust ad personalization directly with Google, Meta, and Microsoft.
  • Use industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working. Blocking analytics or advertising cookies won't break the Site. You may just see less relevant ads, and we'll have less insight into how to improve.

06 Browser signals

Where required by law, we honor recognized browser opt-out signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of targeted advertising on your browser or device. See our Privacy Policy for more on Do Not Track and opt-out signals.

07 Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the technologies we use change. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Please check back periodically.
